Mission: on Mars, is a New York based live Global Fusion Sitar-Breakbeat band.
Their infectious live show bridges east and west by placing the melodies of the sitar front and center, with Kristin Hoffmann (vocals), surrounded by modern breakbeats, electric guitar/bass and other acclaimed guests on various instruments. This performance features Vin Scialla on drums and electronics, Neel Murgai on sitar and throat singing, David Ullmann on guitar, Ariel de la Portilla on bass, and Kristin Hoffmann on vocals. In addition, special guests will Snehasish Mozumder on doubleneck mandolin who is visiting from Kolkata, India and dancer Kaeshi of Bellyqueen dance ensemble.
